No there isn't. What we need is to change hearts and minds so that we can begin a collective effort: something to take down the system through revolution...maybe there is another way but I truly do believe that it will eventually lead to a revolution where people who have had enough take the system down by force -- which involves a return to small, self-sustaining communities where people take care of each other.

Where? We have to fight for them and remake them. We let large corporations and governments take them away in the name of economic progress. Now it's up to us to get them back but it will require a fight.

I know, don't worry, I'm not perceiving any attack. Just discussion I thought.

Are you asking why I don't follow Sarah? Well, I saw one of her posts that sounded interesting and I occasionally find new posts on Substack like that, but I didn't see too many posts that I wanted to read.

Okay, thanks Anna! I think it must just be a technical glitch because all of my posts have comments open.

Yes you are right. Of course, I believe that a healthy biosphere will minimize human suffering too. I also believe that the notion of a "collapse" is overrated: people are afraid of economic collapse because they are not faced with it. Once they are, they will innovate new solutions that works around global capitalism. I can't say the results will be completely pretty, but I am sure the alternative (+2C, +3C, +4C in the average global temperature) will be much worse because everything will start to die, and rapidly.

> You recently commented on sarah Wilson's substack, very simplistically

Obviously, I could have elaborated but it was a comment section. But you have to understand I don't put humans over non-human animals. If I had to choose between only saving either industrial civilization or the biosphere / climate, I would choose the latter immediately. If we keep going as we are, and there is no sign of stopping, it means that more animal species will die. Since we are responsible, we have to stop and if it means the collapse of civlization, I would prefer that.

Sorry, but I completely *reject* human supremacy. Other species, even insect species, are just as worth protecting as the livelihoods of human beings.

BTW, you sent me a message saying I didn't let you comment? Actually, I didn't fully understand that. All my posts allow you to comment and I saw your comment on this post and replied. If you can't see your comments for whatever reason, it might be a bug in substack or something else.

Ok. BTW, I am sorry if my comment about collapse sounded harsh. I definitely don't think anyone should suffer, and unfortunately the rich are taking advantage of everyone else with their greed. Thanks for the engagement on my newsetter and I really sincerely hope all goes well for you.
